Every couple of years, the Shanghai World Exposition selects countries from all around the world to build their one of a kind structures and this has been going on since the 1800's. Also known as the "World's Fair", the exposition gives groups of architects and interior designers the freedom to be as creative, innovative and whimsical as possible. The expositions gives the country the opportunity to showcase their technological advances, cultural exchanges, historical experience and the exchanging of innovative ideas. For my Building Construction class, the task is to take a particular exposition that was selected by a lottery, which in my case is the "Canadian Pavilion", research it and to actually build it. These expositions are so amazingly beautiful, but sadly they're only temporary structures and shortly after torn down. Other expositions that I have posted below are the Korean, Polish, and Russian Pavilions. They are unlike anything I've seen before. I am obsessed.
